Mike Morowit has spent decades building a business, raising a family, serving his community, and working to make Manteca an even better place to call home.
As the longtime owner of Miner Mart, Mike understands what it means to meet a payroll, balance a budget, control costs, plan for the future, and be accountable to the people you serve. He has brought that same practical, common-sense approach to City Hall.
Mike first served on the Manteca City Council from 2014 to 2018. In 2022, District 4 voters elected him to return to the council, where he has spent the past four years working with residents, city employees, first responders, local businesses, and community organizations to address the challenges and opportunities facing a growing Manteca.
During his current term, Mike has remained focused on the priorities he believes matter most to Manteca families: keeping neighborhoods safe, strengthening police and fire services, improving streets and infrastructure, reducing traffic congestion, addressing homelessness, supporting local businesses, and making sure growth is responsible and pays its fair share.
Mike believes good government starts with listening. He takes pride in being accessible to residents, asking tough questions, watching how taxpayer dollars are spent, and working collaboratively to find practical solutions that move Manteca forward.
For Mike, serving on the City Council is about protecting what people love about Manteca while preparing the community for the future. That means creating economic opportunity, maintaining strong public services, planning responsibly for growth, and preserving the family-oriented quality of life that has long made Manteca the Family City.
Mike is proud of the progress Manteca has made over the past four years, but he knows there is more work to do. He is running for re-election to continue delivering experienced, effective, and dedicated leadership for District 4 and the entire Manteca community.
